Commissioned as a speculative project, this hilltop house sits on an Oakland hillside with a panoramic view of the San Francisco Bay. Envisioned as a horizontal glass bar with a masonry base and tower acting as a visual counterpoints, the house is anchored firmly to the hillside on a series of terraces formed by cast in place concrete retaining walls.
